Edward GURR was baptized on 18 Feb 1801 in Smarden, Kent.^2,3,4 He was born in 1801 in Smarden, Kent.⁵ He was living on 30 Mar 1851 in Smarden, Kent.⁴ He was living on 3 Apr 1881.⁶ The 1851 census descibes Edward as a Carpenter by the time of the 1871 census Edward is described as a Master Crpenter, employing one man. By 1881 the census just shows him as a carpenter.

Edward GURR and Ann Greenstreet KETTLE were married on 24 Feb 1823 in Smarden, Kent.³ Ann Greenstreet KETTLE was born about 1803 in Graveney, Kent.⁵ She died between 1871 and 1881. Appears on the 1871 census but not on the 1881 census. Between 1871 and 1881 Ann disappears from the census and is presumed to have died. Edward GURR and Ann Greenstreet KETTLE had the following children:

By the 1871 census is showen as a "Dressmaker". By 1881 Ann was living with her nephew, Walter, at 6 Mount Pleasant Rd., Hastings St Mary In The Castle, Sussex.
