36. Helen GURR was born on 3 Dec 1862 in Frittenden, Kent.⁵² Copy of brith certificate passed on by Maria Coltman. Place of birth confirmed by 1871 census. She was living on 3 Apr 1881 in Pound Hill, Frittenden, Kent.¹⁹ Information passed from a letter to Barry Miller from Maria Coltman talks of a Helen Gurr. The 1871 census only shows an Ellen. This could be a family variation of Helen.

Helen GURR and Edward BATT were married on 29 Apr 1884 in the Parish Church, Sutton Valence, Kent.²¹ Copy of marriage certificate passed on by Maria Coltman. Edward BATT was born about 1862.²¹ He was living on 3 Apr 1881 in Mill Cottages, Headcorn, Kent.⁵³ Edward was 19 at the time of the 1881 census and living at home with his parents Alfred and Laura and 6 brothers Mans sisters.
