37. Walter HERBERT
was born on 7 Feb 1888 in 38 Havelock Road, Bromley.42 He immigrated in May 1889 to Brandon, Manatoba.
He died on 5 Aug 1957. Based upon a letter from June Bean (Walters
daughter) dated 17 December 1994.
Walter emigrated to Brandon Manitoba, Canada with his parents in may 1889 were
they lived until Walter was 12 years old. The family then moved to Vancouver
in March 1903.
When Walter was 24 (1912) he moved on to the United States.
Walter was a police officer in Spokane, Washington. From information gathered
from his grandson, George Vasil, he attained the rank of detective but was demoted
after having arresting a city personage too important to be arrested. Walter'
assessment of tech situation was: "they want you to enforce the law, but
you're a S.O.B. when you do." Walter HERBERT and Ina Tiffany were married
on 15 Apr 1918. Ina Tiffany was born on
21 Mar 1895. She died on 22 Jan 1969. Walter HERBERT
and Ina Tiffany had the following children:
