36. Edward Donald MILLER was born on 20 Dec 1922.¹⁵ He died on 22 Apr 1984 in Odstock Hospital, Salisbury.¹⁷ Brainstem Infarction (Stroke) Known as Don.

During World War II "Don" served in the Royal Air Force as 1710023 Miller E.D. in India leaving with the rank of sergeant. During his war service he worked in the codes and ciphers branch. Like all the men who served in the area he was awarded the Burma Star.

After leaving the RAF in 1946 "Don" went into civilian life but returned to the RAF in 1950 as an accounts clerk. He eventually left the RAF in 1953 due to ill health following some sort disease that he picked up while serving in India which was to trouble him for the rest of his life.

Edward Donald MILLER and Hazel Dorethea PAINE were married on 26 Apr 1952 in Eltham Congrigational Church, Eltham.¹⁶ Hazel Dorethea PAINE (daughter of William James PAINE and Edith ELLIS) was born on 18 Dec 1924 in 9 Prince John Road, Eltham.¹⁵ She died on 9 Feb 2002. She was cremated on 21 May 2002 in Ebdon Road Crematorium, Weston-Super-Mare. Edward Donald MILLER and Hazel Dorethea PAINE had the following children:
