William MILLER was born before 13 Feb 1820 in Sutton at Hone, Kent.^3,9 He was christened on 13 Feb 1820 in Sutton at Hone, Kent.⁵ He was living on 6 Jun 1841 in Wilmington, Kent.¹ He was living on 30 Mar 1851 in Orange Tree Row, Wilmington, Kent.³ He was living on 2 Apr 1871 in 17 Lowfield Street, Dartford, Kent.²⁰ He was living on 3 Apr 1881 in Hythe Street, Dartford, Kent.²³ He died after 3 Apr 1881.²⁴ William can be found on the 1841 census living with his father, John, in Hawley, Kent with an occupation described as a "Shoemaker".

Later, on the 1851 census, William is in Orange Tree Row, Wilmington. He is still a "Shoemaker".

By 1871 he has married Mary and is living in Lowfield Street, Dartford. His occupation looks like "Photographic Artist" (as spelt on the census).

William and Mary are next found on the 1881 census, living at Hythe Street, Dartford, Kent. He is still a "Boot Maker".

One interesting point here is that on the 1851 and 1881 census William is noted as being born in Wilmimington, Kent while the 1871 shows his birthplace as being Sutton, Kent

First found on the 1871 then on the 1881 census as being married to William Miller. Mary must have been married prior to marrying William as there is a step-son, Frederick Scrivner,mentioned on both census.
