Sarah Ann HERBERT was born in 1847 in Lambeth, Kent.12 She was living on 30 Mar 1851 in Waterbar Nursery Cottages.4 She was living on 17 Jul 1873 in Great Queen Street, Dartford.6 She was living on 3 Apr 1881 in 11 Ayres Cottages, Ealing, Middlesex.13 She was living on 5 Apr 1891 in 1 Bingley Cottages, High Street, Greenford Magna, Middlesex.5 She was living on 31 Mar 1901 in 2 Roseberry Terrace, Fetherstone Road, Southall, Middlesex.14 She died on 15 Jun 1922. She was buried in Havelock Cemetery, Southall. Buried with her husband Stephen at Havelock Road Cemetary, Southall. Grave 95c.

Sarah Ann HERBERT and Stephen BUSH were married on 17 Jul 1873 in The Highfield Road Chapel, Dartford.15 Stephen BUSH (son of William BUSH) was born in 1849 in Dartford, Kent.12 He was living on 17 Jul 1873 in St. Albans Road, Dartford.6 He was living on 3 Apr 1881 in 11 Ayres Cottages, Ealing, Middlesex.13 He was living on 5 Apr 1891 in 1 Bingley Cottages, High Street, Greenford Magna, Middlesex.5 He was living on 31 Mar 1901 in 2 Roseberry Terrace, Fetherstone Road, Southall, Middlesex.14 By this tiem Stephen is a Police Sergeant. He died on 16 Jan 1927. He was buried in Havelock Cemetery, Southall. From information supplied by the Metropolitan Police, Stephen is known to have joined the Metropolitan Police on 27th May 1878 and had warrant number 62675. He was first posted to 'X' Division (Kilburn area). When he retired on the 29th May 1904 aged 56 he held the rank of sergeant and was at 'T' Division (Hammersmith area) and had the division number of T 73. His retirement pension was £73/1/0d (£73.05p).

In Retirement in 1920' lived at Florence Road, Southall, in a house called "Brenchley". There should still be a gravestone in Southall Cemetery numbered about 95c. Sarah Ann HERBERT and Stephen BUSH had the following children:

Hannah Mary BUSH was born about 1883 in Dartford, Kent.14 She was living on 5 Apr 1891 in 1 Bingley Cottages, High Street, Greenford Magna, Middlesex.5 She was living on 31 Mar 1901 in 2 Roseberry Terrace, Fetherstone Road, Southall, Middlesex.14 A spinster who made her living by dress making at home with the aid of an ancient treadle operated sewing machine. Her occupation in the 1901 census was that of a dressmaker.
